Gifted and creative learners benefit tremendously from an educational experience with their intellectual peers as well as an approach tailored to their individual needs. A Mack education is designed to address gifted learner’s minds, hearts and ultimately their ability to take action and serve the world at large. Do you have a gifted and creative child? Here is a very simplified checklist of some of the qualities that gifted children display:
- Show intense curiosity and frequently ask how or why
- Surprise you with their sensitivity and perceptiveness
- Have a keen ability to focus on a task when motivated
- Like to go deep and may seem to know “everything” about a subject of
interest (from dinosaurs to fairy tale characters) - Learn quickly and need fewer repetitions than other children
- Show a fascination with puzzles, games, clocks or calendars
- Show high imagination (including complex, imaginative games with friends or toys)
- Walk, talk or read early
