Mackintosh Academy students often have passionate interests and wild imaginations. While our school program encourages and allows for a tremendous amount of exploring personal interests, afterschool and summer enrichment opportunities are still vital to Mack-Boulder students. Alex Bradley, mother of a Mack fifth grader, recently joined the staff as Enrichment Coordinator to help further develop the afterschool and summer enrichment offerings.
With an education in Environmental Engineering and Science, Alex has over 20 years of experience as a project manager, from being the Assistant Area Manager at the South Pole Station in Antarctica to being the Operations Director at a youth camp for underprivileged youth. She also worked as a “catch-all” administrator at Rocky Mountain School for the Gifted and Creative. Alex has been a regular face at Mackintosh over the last three years —volunteering behind the scenes for the annual auction, assisting with a grant application for our future wetland, and giving presentations to our students about working and living in Antarctica.
Alex has put together a diverse and exciting set of after-school enrichment classes for this spring. Registration opens today at 9 am and goes through midnight on February 11th.
Summer is also an ideal time to help your child develop their interests or try new things. Alex is hard at work finalizing a schedule of incredible opportunities for children 5yrs. to 15yrs. who love to dive deep, ask big questions, get messy, be creative, and have a lot of fun.
Macktastic Specialty Camps will run for six weeks (June 4th, June 11th, June 18th, July 30th, and August 6th), and there are already around 35 camps scheduled! Half-day and full-day options are available—pick and choose your camps to create a custom summer camp experience that meets the needs of your kids and your schedule.
We have a mix of awesome adventures led by some of our amazing Mack (and former Mack) people as well other exciting “guest” offerings.

The camps will take full advantage of our 23-acre campus—complete with pond, creek, grove and large outdoor play spaces.
Sending your children to Mack Specialty Camps ensures that they will have an easy transition from a school schedule to summer schedule—no getting used to an unfamiliar setting. It’s also nice for children to have a familiar face or three at their summer camps. As location host, Mack-Boulder programming and facilities benefit from a portion of camp fees, which in turn benefits Mack kids!
Alex will send out registration information soon! Stay tuned.
