Our school’s success involves parent involvement in our community.

Parent Council builds community and raises funds for Mack Littleton by organizing social and community service events, collaborating on the annual auction, and sponsoring educational events for parents. All parents of Mackintosh children are members of Parent Council and are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings, where we discuss an agenda developed collaboratively between the Parent Council Leadership Team and the Head of School.

Each classroom has at least one Classroom Parent Representative (CPR), who assists in organizing class events and communicates relevant information to the class families.

Our parent handbook states that each family is required to volunteer a minimum of twenty hours for the school year (although some of course choose to do much more than that)! In addition to building our community and supporting our students, volunteer hours are a key part of receiving outside monies, such as financial grants. Donating organizations help those who help themselves. A strong parent community is vital to our school and provides a strong foundation for our children’s growth. By volunteering, you not only show your support but start to build important relationships with parents, staff, and the children that will make your family’s Mackintosh experience more meaningful. Volunteer hours can be tracked on ParentSquare.

Parent Council plans and runs many of the wonderful events that make our community so vibrant and welcoming, such as:

  • Back to School Picnic
  • Grandparents and Special Friends Day
  • Annual Fundraising Auction
  • Spring Festival and Talent Show
  • End of Year Field Days
  • Pizza Fridays
  • Mack Connections Family Dinners
  • Parent Social

Everyone is welcome to get involved! Please contact our Parent Council leaders to learn more.
