The Boulder Campus was just awarded over $1800 in two grants  to build planter boxes in our garden! Congratulations to the Garden Committee!

The first  grant is the 2014 Colorado Garden show grant.   We will receive the Colorado Garden Foundation Award at their event April 27 @ 4:00. We will be receiving $1347 from the Colorado Garden Association.

The Colorado Home & Garden Show is coming up February 15-23.  Please consider attending and supporting the foundation that is so generously supporting us! Jim Fricke, Executive Director of the Colorado Garden Foundation says,

The Colorado Garden & Home Show is February 15-23 at the Colorado Convention Center.  We would appreciate any support you can give the show with your members or your community on promoting the show to encourage people to attend.
The second grant is from the Captain Planet Foundation in the amount of $487, also to complete the planter boxes.

Middle Years teacher Jay Droeger has agreed to work with his students on designing and building the planter boxes.

We also have a wonderful intern who will be helping us design, plan and build the boxes – Matt Boyle from the CU School of Environmental Design.  He has carpentry experience, as well as an environmental design background and is excited to help Jay and their students with this project.

Come spring time, our gardens will once again be an example of meaningful work and design thinking in action!

Thank you to Michel Hollen and the Garden Committee for all of your hard work in making this possible!
